Privacy policy

Hive Asset Group, LLC ("CampStack", "we", "us") runs the CampStack website, directory and owner software. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We do not sell personal information.

What we collect

The information depends on how you use CampStack.

  • Visitors: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location from the network address, and the page that sent you here.
  • Campers who book or sign up for alerts: name, email, phone, rig details and the reservation details you enter. Payment card details go to Stripe and are not stored by CampStack.
  • Owners and staff: name, email, phone, park details, login information, billing information handled by Stripe, and activity inside the app.
  • Park listings: business information that is publicly available, such as a campground’s name, address, phone, website and amenities, and information owners add.
  • Messages you send us.

How we use it

We use information to run the directory and the software, process reservations on behalf of parks, send the emails you ask for and service emails such as confirmations and receipts, keep the service secure, understand which pages and features are used, and improve CampStack.

When a camper books a stay, the park is the business that holds the reservation. CampStack processes that guest information for the park to provide the service.

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run CampStack.

  • The park you book with, which receives your reservation and contact details.
  • Service providers: Stripe for payments, Supabase for database and sign in, Netlify for hosting, and our email delivery platform. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, only when it is turned on for the site.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when we must comply with a legal obligation or protect the rights and safety of users and CampStack.
  • A buyer, if CampStack is part of a sale of the business. We would tell you first.

Cookies and similar storage

We use a small amount of browser storage to remember your light or dark mode choice and to keep you signed in to the owner app. If analytics is on, Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits. You can block cookies in your browser. The site works without them, but you will have to sign in each time.

How long we keep it

We keep account and reservation records while an account is active and for a reasonable period after, to meet tax, accounting and dispute needs. After an owner cancels we keep their data for a period so they can return or export it, then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to those obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of marketing email with the link in any message. Depending on where you live, such as California, you may have further rights, including the right to know what we collect and to not be treated differently for using them. We do not sell or share personal information for cross context advertising.

To make a request, email hello@campstack.online. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Park listings and owner requests

Park listings contain business information. Owners can claim a listing, correct it, or ask us to remove it through the takedown and correction process.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls on our database and separate keys for sensitive actions. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

CampStack is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the date above and notify account holders by email or in the app.
